Most men here drive because the specialization is thin closer to home.
This is the Orange County version of the main page. The work is identical; what is different is how you get to it and why you are willing to.
The main page explains the term, what I do with it, and what I decline to do with it. It is the page to read if you want to know how I think. This one does not restate any of that.
What I can add here is what a county full of long commutes, tight professional circles and very few named specialists does to the way men finally make the call.
Three patterns particular to this county.
You searched for a specialist, not a therapist
Men here rarely arrive asking for therapy in general. They arrive having already decided the problem has a name and wanting someone who works on that one thing.
You want the office to be somewhere else
For a lot of men in Orange County, the fact that the office is over the county line is a feature rather than a cost.
The behavior lives in the commute and the hotel room
Long drives, travel weeks and a car that is the only private space in your life change the shape of the pattern.
Either the 405 or a closed door at home.
There is one office and it is in Long Beach. I do not have an Orange County location and I am not going to imply one. For most people in the county the practical choice is a late-afternoon in-person slot, or video from a room with a door.
Video is not the lesser version. For this particular work it is frequently better, because the hour happens in the actual environment where the pattern lives rather than in a neutral room forty minutes away.
Mostly about the drive and the privacy.
Frequently Asked Questions

Ask whether the drive is worth it
That is a fair question for a free 15-minute call, and I will give you a straight answer rather than a sales one.
