A pier stretching into calm water in early Long Beach morning light
Long Beach, California

The office is here, and so am I.

Park Avenue, a few blocks from the water, on the Belmont Heights side. This is the only room I see clients in, and Long Beach is the city I actually live and surf in rather than commute to.

Who comes from here

Men who live twelve minutes away and still waited two years.

Long Beach clients almost never arrive because of distance. They arrive because something finally cost more than the secrecy was worth: a phone left open, a conversation they could not keep having, a Tuesday night that felt like every other Tuesday night.

The city is big enough to be anonymous and small enough that people know people, so a lot of what I hear early on is about being seen walking in. Nobody is announced here, and the schedule is built so you are not passing someone in a hallway.

Some of them are men in their thirties in a first serious relationship. Some are fifty-five and have been managing this privately for two decades. The work is not the same, but the first hour looks similar: relief that saying it out loud did not end the conversation.

Getting here

From the first email to the walk back to your car.

Before

One email, then a fifteen-minute call

You write a few lines. We talk for fifteen minutes at no cost, mostly so you can hear how I sound and ask what you actually want to ask. Nobody takes an intake history on that call.

What we work on

Location is how you found this. These are the actual reasons people stay.

Long Beach clients arrive across the whole range of the practice, and the specialty pages say far more than a city page can.
