Who I work with

The same work, with gay and bisexual men, stated plainly.

A substantial part of this practice already is gay and bisexual men. This page exists so you do not have to guess whether that is true before you call.

Where this sits

Not a diversity statement, and not a separate track.

What I do with gay and bisexual men is what I do with straight men: compulsive sexual behavior, pornography use, the shame underneath it, boundaries that hold, and closeness that survives being honest. Same fee, same format, same room. This page is not a specialty carve-out. It is here because men reasonably want to know, before they spend fifteen minutes on the phone, whether they will be understood or educated.

Your orientation is never the problem being treated. I want to say the next part without any softening: I do not practice anything resembling conversion therapy, I do not refer anyone toward it, and I do not hold a quieter version of it in private. My position is that sexuality is something to understand and live honestly, not something to change.

What does get worked on is whatever is costing you: a pattern you cannot put down, a relationship that has thinned out, an agreement nobody said out loud, or a sense of being fundamentally unacceptable that arrived long before any of it.

I work in English or Spanish, in person at the Long Beach office or by secure video anywhere in California.

Separating the shame from the behavior. When the sense of being wrong predates anything you ever did, treating the behavior as the source of the shame keeps you in a loop. We take them apart, because the older material, family, religion, a school hallway, a community with opinions, needs different work than a habit does.

Reducing the number of versions. Most men arrive maintaining several selves at once. The aim is not a dramatic announcement. It is fewer people you have to be, in the rooms where it matters to you.

Looking at contexts as contexts. Apps, bars, travel, open or negotiated arrangements. I am interested in what the pattern is doing for you, at what hour, after what feeling, and what it costs afterward. There is no confession structure here and no ranking of behaviors by how bad they sound.

Boundaries in your own voice. Saying no, saying what you want, and staying in the conversation after someone is disappointed. A lot of men who learned early to keep the peace never got practice at this, and it shows up in dating and in long relationships alike.

Closeness that can hold the truth. Being fully known is the part that most men have arranged their lives to avoid. That is the slow end of the work, and it is where the point of it usually turns up.
